Discussions surrounding ageing often tend to focus on the negative aspects of old age rather than the contribution made by older people to society. Religion and spiritual needs are often overlooked due to a stronger emphasis put on physical care needs.
This conversation will provide an opportunity to consider ageing from different cultural and faith perspectives. We will discuss the importance of faith to many older people to better understand the supportive responses from different faith communities. We will explore what different theologies say about ageing and older people.
