In partnership with The Scottish Episcopal Church
John Armes was elected Bishop of Edinburgh in 2012 having spent fourteen happy years as the Rector of St John’s. He is very proud that Just Festival was founded and became established during his time as Rector. The objectives of the Just Festival fit well with his commitment to an inclusive Scotland in which all have the opportunity to flourish regardless of race, gender, sexuality or belief. John is married to Clare and has four grown up children. He enjoys travel, eating and sport. He gardens – much to the delight of the local gastropods.
