Yesterday, Streetwork was at the Just Festival to talk about a subject widely covered by the media and yet still considered as taboo: sex workers. If you missed out this conversation, you can listen to the recording here:
With the recent Police Scotland action and the Council’s decision to revoke licenses for saunas, we will reflect on the supply and demand for paid sex in Scotland. A recent figure suggests perhaps as many as one in ten men have paid for sex. Should the sex trade be regulated like any other service industry?
Chair: Geoff Pearson (Chairman of Streetwork)
Panellists: Rhoda Grant MSP, Councillor Gavin Barrie (Convener of the Regulatory Committee), Claire Gibson (CEO, Streetwork)
