We’re delighted to have again partnered with Live Music Now Scotland for a series of three free lunchtime concerts from a variety of musicians with programmes on the theme of “Questioning?”. Live Music Now Scotland’s mission is to bring high-quality live music to people throughout Scotland, particularly those who would otherwise not have access to its transforming benefits and ability to effect societal change. We hope you can join us for one or more of these fabulous recitals!
Calum McIlroy and Megan MacDonald are two of the most active artists within the Scottish traditional music scene. On mandolin, guitar, and vocals, Calum demonstrates his intricate flat-picking and distinct skill in the composition of lyrical melodies and narrative songs. Megan’s North Highland background has contributed to a style rooted in Scottish traditional music, with subtle contemporary influences on the piano accordion. They are joined for this performance by fiddler David Nicholson David started playing the fiddle in 2000 and some of his musical highlights so far include performing at Feis Rois, Under Canvas Festival in Inverness, with the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra and at the Scottish Piping Centre.
