Just Talking: Displaced Roots, Different Routes
An open panel discussion with an opportunity for audience questions.
When people, especially families with children are displaced, there is an inevitable displacement of historical and cultural memory. What are the losses and what are the gains from finding yourself in an unfamiliar landscape? And what are the ways in which one cultural identity can be celebrated while still embracing another?
This open panel conversation will be chaired by the Rt Rev Dr John Armes, Bishop of Edinburgh. Speakers will include Alistair Dinnie, Refugee and Migration Programme Manager for City of Edinburgh Council, a representative from the Ukraine National Bar Association and a Ukrainian education professional.
This event is free, with a suggested donation of £7.
