Isabel is a multilingual Portuguese-Cape Verdean international arts project manager, with a strong practice in international cultural relations, artistic exchange and African film curation.

Since 2016, Isabel has acted as Arts Partnership Manager with the British Council Scotland Arts team in Edinburgh, alongside her independent film practice. In the last 10 years, Isabel has programmed for festivals such as the London-based Film Africa – African Film Festival, as well as the Edinburgh-based Africa in Motion and IberoDocs Film Festivals. Throughout her professional career Isabel has worked collaboratively and taken a leading role in building cross-arts partnerships and brokering transnational links within the sphere of high-level stakeholders, cultural policy leaders, arts institutions and independent practitioners, across the Americas, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. She holds an MA in Arts & Cultural Management from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she is based.
